While at a glance, it may seem Hoyoverse devs have moved on from the OG Genshin with the stellar release of their latest ground-breaking action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail’s continued success, Genshin Impact fans still have plenty to look forward to.
The release of the latest Ver. 5.0 update to Genshin Impact is rapidly approaching and we’re just a few weeks away from release. We’ll finally get to dive into the new story, a brand-new & expansive region to explore, new enemies to fight, challenges to conquer, and sweet new (hopefully Genshin girls) characters to pull for.
So today, we’re checking out the release date for the Genshin Impact 5.0 update as well as checking out some details we already know about the upcoming Natlan region and new characters Genshin.
And if you’re in need of Genshin top up because you lost your 50/50, worry not, U7BUY has got you covered. Let’s jump straight into it!
Genshin Impact 5.0 Release Date & Special Program Announcement Livestream Details
The most important thing to know is when Genshin Impact’s Ver. 5.0 release date is.
Luckily, we’re not too far off and can expect the new update to drop on August 28th, 2024. Based on the current update release schedule (and bar any extreme factors that could delay the update), we’re pretty confident the date is set in stone.
To add to that, we’ve also received word on when the Special Program Announcement live stream is scheduled for August 16th, 2024 at 12 am UTC-4. During the live stream, we’ll hear more details about the Genshin Impact 5.0 update and what content to expect.
The livestream will also have some redemption codes released so remember to snatch up some free Primogems and resources.
Details About the Genshin Impact Natlan Region & Ver. 5.0 Content
We don’t know too much about the new Natlan region and Genshin Impact 5.0 content coming our way, but we do know the first three characters that are debuting with the latest Genshin Impact update.
We’ll meet up with some Genshin Impact Natlan natives with the new update and the first of the bunch of (hopefully) colorful cast we’ll meet are Kachina a Geo-element character, Kinich a Dendro-element character, and Mualani a Hydro-element character.
We don’t have official details about their roles just yet but based on early previews and leaks (so take it with a grain of salt), Kachina is a 4-star Polearm user, Kinich is a 5-star Claymore user, and Mualani is a 5-star Catalyst user.
While these are pretty much set in stone and we don’t expect the weapons to change, Hoyoverse may make some changes to their abilities so we’ll wait for the official release to cover their performance and skills.
Additionally, we also expect a slew of new additions including the new Genshin Impact Natlan map expansion and gameplay mechanics, new enemies to decimate, new weapons & artifacts to grind for, and the new Archon Quest continuation featuring the enigmatic Pyro Archon.
In terms of the map itself, it’s been speculated that the new Genshin Impact Natlan region will be equivalent in size to Sumeru. This is a good thing considering Sumeru was an incredibly designed & well-thought-out region so we can expect the same for Genshin Impact Natlan.
That said most of what we’ve mentioned here is speculation and it is subject to change. Even so, we’ve got a lot to look forward to so stay tuned for our coverage of the new Genshin Impact 5.0 update when it releases on August 28th!
